Congratulations to the Jazz Ensemble on their 5th place honors at the U-W LaCrosse Jazz Festival.
On Saturday, January 24th, the Jazz Ensemble performed in class A competition (based on school size) in a field of 11 bands from around the state and also participated in clinics and attended concerts. In addition to their respectable placement, Joe Caruso and JJ Ligocki earned special recognition for their level of musicianship.
The Jazz Ensemble travels to festivals every winter and has also participated in the UW-Stevens Point, UW-Green Bay and Bob Kames Jazz Festivals. This year the Ensemble will compete again at the Bob Kames festival in South Milwaukee. The Big Phat Band is the featured ensemble at the festival this year and we are very excited to have the chance to rub shoulders with members of this top professional jazz ensemble.
