May 28 Renaissance Assembly - Celebrating Student Successes!

By Heather Liban
Wednesday, May 27 2009, 08:05 AM

On Thursday, May 28 at 9 a.m., Cudahy High School will be celebrating its annual Renaissance Assembly in the high school auditorium.  At the assembly, more than 300 Cudahy High School students will be honored for their work in the classroom throughout the 2008-2009 school year.  To receive an invitation to the assembly, students must have either earned a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or achieved perfect attendance for each of the first three quarters of the school year.

Winners of the Renaissance student of the month awards during this school year will also receive an invitation to the assembly.  Renaissance students of the month are nominated by Cudahy High School faculty and staff members.  Congratulations to the following students who have been awarded student of the month at some point during the 2008-2009 school year:

  • Seniors: Alisa Damitz, Larry Savage, Samantha Polfer, Samantha Homa, Kamille Bustos, Nickie Brister, and Amanda Janik

  • Juniors: Alex Hernandez, Alexis Rivera, Derek Puczylowski, Nick Burmester, Lynn Sobota, Virginia Kibler, and Samantha Farvour

  • Sophomores: Maricruz Sanchez, Ken Bustos, Matt Richardson, Katie Lutomski, Zach Plachinski, Mitchell Stahl, and Thong Xiong

  • Freshmen: Ken Ewert, Jose Lopez, Ina Tahiraj, Samantha Hoeft, Kyle Leannah, Joey Rogers, and Gillian Miner

The mission of Cudahy High School’s Renaissance Program is to recognize the efforts of students in the classroom.  In addition to the year-end assembly, Renaissance rewards students every quarter if the students earn a GPA of 3.0 or higher, if they achieve perfect attendance, or if they improve their GPA by .5 or more from the previous quarter.

Together, we celebrate with and recognize the accomplishments of our students.

400 Students Receive Renaissance Rewards

By Heather Liban
Thursday, Jan 17 2008, 10:00 AM

The Renaissance Program at Cudahy High School rewards for excellence in academics and attendance.  To receive a Renaissance award, a student needs to achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher or attain a perfect attendance for the quarter.

In the first quarter, 400 students received Renaissance rewards.

Along with this recognition of excellence, the students received other rewards such as gift certificates and discounts at local sponsoring businesses.  At the end of the school year, an assembly is held for students who receive recognition for the first three quarters.  Every month, the Renaissance Program also recognizes one student from each grade as the student of the month.
